These versatile cotton prints are perfect for quilting and fashion, and they can add a creative flare to any project. Amy Butler pretty much single-handedly changed the quilting fabric industry. She has opened the door wide open and has created a whole new category of fabric. Amy Butler's bold designs are inspired by her love of vintage fabric, nature, travel abroad, and everyday life. Her fabric lines are vintage and sophisticated as well as contemporary reproductions in exciting colorways.

purse and Pillow coverSarah Ann Smith had a book signing this summer at the Quilt Divas and her book is available in our storeCreative Quilting with Beads and she will be teaching a class in September 2008. Sarah has become a fervent art quilter and is selling her artwork as well as producing a line of quilting patterns. Sarah's extensive travels and love for the diverse peoples and places in the world infuse her art, while an early fascination with Hawaiian quilting patterns has returned to become the source of inspiration for Sarah's first published patterns.

Sarah uses whichever techniques she needs to achieve the desired effect in her art including dyeing, painting, hand and machine quilting, embroidery, embellishment with beads, yarns, and any suitable object, piecing, and appliqué. A firm believer that it's not a quilt until it is quilted, Sarah stitches intensively on her home sewing machine, using a huge variety of threads to enhance the image created on or in the cloth.
